Wow.. if a "real" corporation were to come up with a bankruptcy plan like the government is suggesting happen to GM, I think a lot of people would/should be in jail. How do you go through bankruptcy and completely ignore the vast majority of your debt holders, pick the cherry profitable brands out of the fire, leave the dregs for your creditors to pick over AND have the government swallow 10's of billions of dollars of a "loan" THEY gave you to stay in business long enough to go bankrupt so they can "forget" all that money they gave you? (which is OUR money by the way).
This doesn't look, smell or sound like any bankruptcy I have ever heard of, what is it, a new Chapter 666 bankruptcy law?
It is getting weirder by the day.
