Day One

So I was at work and saw a program guide for the AFI Fest..

Screening on Thursday Oct 30th was "The Soloist!"

Just now I excitedly called their 800 number and spoke with someone asking about if it was still screening. The nice person on the phone told me in fact it was not any longer. According to her "They wanted to re-edit the movie because they didn't think it was Oscar worthy and they wanted to make sure it was".. or as we suspect, other reasons.

Apparently they were still going to screen it on Oct 30th after the general release push back date was made, but then they changed their minds. I told the woman on the phone "so you guys didn't want to have to deal with the riots huh?" haha..
