happyI got a Kohl's Department store gift card this Christmas from my aunt. I spilt it with my dad. So after we both did a little shopping the day after Christmas, he got some stuff he wanted, mostly clothes and bathroom towels and rugs, There was $40 left on the gift card.
So today I went back to Kohl's after a job interview I had in downtown LA today. I had my eye on a belgian waffle maker. However there was a better one than the one I was looking at on the shelf but there was no display model out for it. I read the specs and it seemed better than all the rest. Did the "flip" thing, had a variable setting for the brownness and it even had a timer that told you exactly when the waffle was done! Neat.. so I grabbed it, it was $38!
I went the Trader Joe's and bought some waffle supplies. And rushed home and proceeded to crank out 4 perfect Belgian waffles! I ended up throwing away all but one of them that I ate while I waited for the other ones to cook. As I had used a bag of flour that I think has been in my cabinet for like 10 years (still good!) and regular eggs and supplies, I didn't feel bad about throwing away a few $ of foodstuffs in testing mode. I will try my TJ's whole wheat flour, organic eggs and the rest for breakfast soon. :-)
